Windowblinds Skins, Icon, WindowFxs

I called Stardock Costumer service today 11/15/2011  to enquire about the Kio theme showing on my account as a mycolor and not a theme suite, since they discontinued My Colors. His response you can still use MyColors to add the theme and then uninstall my colors and the theme will remain, but their might be some hiccups by uninstalling mycolors, if you have windowblinds and iconpackager already installed. I asked if I could just get the theme without my colors, cause i don't want to mess my installed software and his response to me was, I cannot do that you will have to repurchase the theme.

I think as a long time costumer acquiring info for a discontinued product, I should have be given them option to have my account theme switch from mycolors to the theme suite since they discontinued that product. I think Stardock has lost its magic, that's my opinion. I have purchased so much from them.  Can someone explain to me why em I wrong? Seriously do they want to keep costumers to make their company grow or loose them?

Just airing out my concerns to the public.

What I can gather from what you have said, you purchased a MyColor theme "Kio" and you are still able to use that theme if you install it using the MyColors program.  Also, the MyColors program is still useable as it is only discontinued for any future updates.  So in fact you have what you originally purchased and it still works.

Now you wish to have the Kio theme excluding the MyColors format and given to you without having to re-purchase the theme.

I fail to see how Stardock is in the wrong here as your initial purchase still works.

I had purchased many of the My Colors packs wich now some show up on my store account as Suite file zip and some still as My Colors.  If some show up as Suites now, than why can't the Koi too?  You get my point or not?

As far as I know, some were converted to suites as they were used in other packs, but that didn't apply to all the MyColors themes.

I understand your point, RoodVargas. I agree however, with Hankers. His analysis comes from logic and fact, while yours from disappointment and frustration...

You are clearly frustrated that Koi does not appear as a Suite (and feel should) which you feel entitled to (but aren't).

To go from that and generalize regarding Stardock's policies seems (to me), illogical and since it is their IP, unjustified. You still have a product which you bought and which is fully functional.
